HKS OFFERS NEW QUIET EURO-SPEC MUFFLERS |
|
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE DECEMBER 1, 2000 |
| HKS, the Shizouka, Japan based manufacturer of
aircraft engines, has released new quieter mufflers for the HKS-700E.
The mufflers were designed and tested to meet the strict,
European noise standards. “We
are very excited about these mufflers” stated HPower President, Tom
Peghiny. “HKS has done a
lot of development on these to dramatically reduce the noise of the
engine with no power loss”.
“In conjunction with the 3.47 to 1 gearbox offered by HKS, the
new mufflers make for a very quiet package, something that is getting
more and more important”.
The Type 1 exhaust, used on trikes, tractors and
PPC’s now incorporates a ball socket to allow longer life. The Type 5 which was designed for Quicksilver and Challenger
type installations has an internal two-into-one for maximum performance
and simple installation. Both
mufflers feature attractive Aluminum electroplated coatings for
corrosion resistance.
The HKS 700E is a 60HP, horizontally opposed, two cylinder, four-stroke engine used in Light aircraft, PPC’s and Trikes. |
